before disposable diapers came into our lives, people have been using cloth diapers on babies…and because of the convenience it offers, disposable diapers have replaced cloth diapers almost completely..but now people are going back to nature, therefore cloth diapering is ‘in’ again…there are many types of cloth diapers offered in the market today…from all-in-one (AIO) diapers, pocket diapers, prefolds and so on [ read on types of cloth diapers and its accessories at http://www.diaperjungle.com/cloth-diaper-terminology.html] …whichever you choose for your baby is entirely up to you, none is actually better than the other, even the cloth that people used back then works well ;-)
commercially sold cloth diapers (or CDs as they are called now) mostly made of microfiber cloth, which is highly absorbent compared to the cotton cloth used for diapers in the old days. i personally love the snappi fasteners that we can use to hold the diaper in place, it works just like a nappy pin, but safer ;-)
why should we change to CDs? in a nutshell, cloth diapers are convenient, cost effective, healthier for children, and better for the environment.
